Weinmann Brake Hood
I'm getting my old Peugeot Vagabon road-worthy after a long time in the garage. The gum brake hoods are shot. Where can I find replacements? I've been advised that it would be less hastle to replace the levers, but I'd rather not.

go talk to your LBS. they can order non-aero hoods that fit a lot of older brake levers. i think cane creek makes some.

Depends on which brake levers you have. If they are Mafac then it is harder to find the replacement hoods, and pretty expensive. If they are Weinmann or Diacompe then there are more choices, and less expensive. Cane Creek makes some nice hoods that fit the Weinmann/Diacompe complex, and they are pretty cheap!

Niagara sells the Cane Creek hoods for $6.27. Tough to beat that price.
