Diamonds are forever

This post is far too simplistic for the erudite, sophisticated Bicycle Mechanics part of the forums.

But it you find a "diamond" (small piece of glass whose value is measured in negative numbers by cyclists, yet in a reverse way is almost as valuable as the real thing) in your tire, make sure you remove every aspect of it's former glory from it's niche in your treads.

Or, as a memorable actor who co-starred with Humphrey Bogart in "Casablanca" once remarked, "Ever been bit by a dead bee?"

Diamonds are forever, but oranges are for half-time.

Err...could you dumb it down a little? :p

I'm guessing that you didn't plagarize this from a technical manual. I think you've found a niche of your own -- a 'best-seller' repair manual. :D

Hey, not a bad idea! :D

After all, it's not about actually knowing anything!
