Shifting adjustment.....Shimano Sora

Purchased a new Felt Z100 road bike last week. Components are Shimano Sora. I'm about 1 1/2 hours from lbs, or I'd take this in to them for an adjustment.
When in the lowest gear (smallest front chainring, largest rear sprocket), the chain is rubbing against the inside of the chain guide on the front derailleur. The manual that came with the bike is worthless. For example, it might say "Such and such part is adjustable. Return to your local bike shop for proper adjustments".
I've search online for a technical manual that would explain how to adjust this particular part, but with no results.
The tension on the cable seems to be fairly loose, so not a problem with being too tight. I hate to mess around too much with the two adjusting screws on the derailleur itself, without knowing which screw to adjust (top or bottom) or whether to adjust clock-wise or counter clock-wise.
Suggests? Will be next week before I can get back with the lbs.

There should be two screws on the front derailleur. They SHOULD be labeled H(igh) and L(ow). I would give the one labeled L a 1/8 turn counter clockwise. If they are not labeled, the L is usually the one closest to the middle of the bike, or non drive side, if you want to call it that, consult the documentation if it labels them in there. These are whats called your limit screws, they limit how far out and in the derailleur goes. The Low limit screw by unscrewing it in tiny tiny amounts should allow it to go inward more. Just look up front derailleur limit screws to learn more. Hope that gets you in the right direction.

I had read about an L and H designation, but have examined them closely, and see no such indications.

There are two screws - they may not be marked.

I believe some Sora front derailleur screws are unlabeled and in a different place than on other FDs, so it could be harder to determine which is L and H: https://www.nexternal.com/icycles/images/25750.jpg

I used to have the FD linked, but I can't remember which is the L screw.

Get in the lowest gear. Guess and check which is the L screw. When you unscrew one, you should see the cage move in toward the bike. Unscrew the L screw to the point at which the chain won't rub when the chain moves through the derailleur. (Keep track of how far you turn a screw if it turns out to be the wrong one.)

If the derailleur does not move while you loosen either screw, then the cable might be too tight. I suggest detaching the cable and starting over from the beginning of "Front Derailleur Limit Screw Settings" and continue from there: https://parktool.com/repair/readhowto.asp?id=75

Try the Park tool site Park tool front derailleur adjustments
or the Shimano tech docs. The Felt website says that the Z100 uses a 2200 series FD

Well that's smart. It appears the L screw is the lower one.

Once you have the front-derailleur perfectly adjusted - the cable will always stretch and the rubbing returns. There are 2 solutions if this happens to you:

1. Undo the pinch-bolt on the FD and yank the cable tight again.

2. Install a barrel-adjuster on your cable in the first place. Now you micro-adjust it any time without playing with the pinch-bolt - causing it to fray.

Barrel-Adjuster:
