Shimano jockey wheels compatability question

Shimano jockey wheels compatability question
Hi all. I am using a long-cage 105 rear derailleur with a 9-speed set-up and have decided the jockey wheels could do with replacing.
Can I use any Shimano (or other?) jockey wheels? Will they all be compatible with the 9-speed chain?
As a side issue, what is the best way to lubricate the "bearings" of these wheels? I'm not sure if the squeaking I get from that direction is due solely to wear, or also to lack of lubrication. Whatever I try kills the noise only for 30 miles or so.

Origin 8 has some ceramic bearing pulleys that retail for around $30.00. Check with your LBS.

Before replacing them, try re-lubing. Pull them apart and put a thin amount of grease where the metal contacts.

Take them apart, clean them out, regrease, and put them back together. Do note that the top ones may not be identical to the bottom one. I'm betting your squeak is either cureable, or from a nearby source.
