ROHLOFF S-L-T 99 chain, street and mtb, what's the difference?

Hi

Regarding the Rohloff s-l-t 99 chain (https://www.rohloff.de/en/products/s_l_t_99/index.html), I see there are several types available. I understand the difference between the 9 speed and 8 speed chains is the thickness of the chain, but what's the difference between the street, mtb and trial versions?

In fact I have already purchased an s-l-t 99, and it's the 8 speed street version, can I still use this on my mountainbike ? (My mtb is equipped with the rohloff speedhub, so thickness of the chain is not an issue).

Thanks

The number of links is different, otherwise the road and MTB versions are identical.
