3 Piece Crank

Hi, i just took out my one piece crank, and it has two black bracket things on each side (as shown in the pictures below), do i have to remove them to install this 3 piece Redline Crank
???

Absolutely remove them. They are the cups from the one piece crank bottom bracket that you don't need anymore. They are just a press fit. Drive them out from the opposite side with a hammer and a piece of broomstick or an old crummy screwdriver or something.
