Rear Wheel Rattle
 

I am having trouble with my rear wheel rattling. The rattling is as though the quick release is not tight enough but this is not the problem. The wheel has side to side play and is not an out of true issue. Any advice on what do I need to do to fix this?

Side-to-side play as you describe would indicate that your hubs are loose and need adjusting:

Assuming they aren't cartridge bearing rear hubs. How about the OP tell us what kind of rear wheel/hub it is.
