Creaking bottom bracket under load

I have replaced Sram bottom bracket on my 07 Tarmac Pro and still get creaking/rattling noise when I put a load on pedals, mainly non-drive side. Is thread tape a good fix for this or is it better to use anti-seize or blue thread locker on the bearing cups?

The tape is the best idea, because there's a good chance that the noise isn't coming from there anyway. You don't want to do anything irreversible until you really know what the problem is.

If you have a new BB installed (I assume properly?) and the problem is the same, what makes you think it's from the BB?

Inspect your frame. A friend of mine had his seattube pop out from his BB shell. He was saying similar things about noises and fixing the BB did not help any.

The reason I think it is the bottom bracket is I can get the same noise by sitting on bike & applying pressure to pedals. Yes I have tried another set of pedals and can also get noise by straddling bike and not sitting on seat and pressing pedals.

could it be a slight bit of play in your crank arms rubbing on the spindle. I had this problem, pulled the cups and greased em then lubed up the square taper before torquing down the crank arms. Problem fixed! I hate a noisy bike! Nothing like knowing if you needed your two wheeled partner to complete clandestine operations she's up to the challenge and wont squeal on ya when youre taking fire.

Check the easy fixes first:
~Skewers tight enough? (I just spent more than $300 on parts, and my creak ended up being a $#^%$ rear skewer that was working loose under my mashing. (And I was POSITIVE it was the BB.))
~Headset parts & bushings clean, lightly greased and properly torqued?
~Does the sound happen when you pedal standing only or while seated also? Only while seated, but not while standing?
~Try pedaling one legged and while sitting up with no hands on the bars.
~Put a drop of Tri-flow (or your favorite chain lube) on each chainring bolt mount point between the large & small chainrings.
