27.0mm seatpost needed - non micro adjust
 

Hi,I have a dawes galaxy frame that im trying to fit a brooks saddle to, as the current gel saddle is so uncomfortable.
However i have only got a 27.2mm seatpost and need a 27.0mm one, the ones I have found on the internet in this size are micro adjust, which will not fit the old style brooks saddles, my question is are they available in 27.0mm and if so who manufactures them and where can i buy one from.

Niagara Cycle Works has a 26mm x 300 alloy post and a 26 to 27 shim. That would get you there.

I have my B-17 mounted to a Thomson seat post...

Brooks makes a piece I believe it's called a "seat sandwich" or something. It allows the double rail style Brooks saddles to be mounted to a micro-adjust seatpost. I don't have a link to it but you should be able to search and find it.

Ream the seat tube to 27.2 mm. Done. Won't hurt your frame in the least.

What makes you think that your Brooks won't fit a micro adjust seat post? All six of mine do, including one double rail model.
