What spoke wrench for shimano
I don't know what size wrench to use to true my Shimano wheels. Do they all have the same nipples? I'll have to wait till I get home to get the model number. I bought them 2 years ago. I think it was 550 or something model number. Would this wrench work or do I need more specific info to determine which wrench to use?

Get the wrench that fits as closely as possible. If you buy a Park wrench be sure to get the newer type that holds all four corners of the nipple. I like Spokey brand but they are becoming harder to find.
Check with your LBS.

If you don't work on them much, you can always get a multi-sized nipple wrench and use that. Be careful though, as their design can more easily lend to rounding out the nipple than does the ones that go around all the corners

black: dt swiss nipples
green: mavic nipples
quite sure blue was for shimano.
of course, they're not limited to just one brand.

Red is for Japanese spoke-nipples.
I'm sure of this as I was arrested for drug-paraphernalia back in 1986. I was truing a Japanese wheel and they said my red Park Tool SW-2 was a "roach-clip." Beat the tar out of 'em in court.

I believe you need the Park SW-14 for these Shimano hub mounted nipples. Shimano uses 4.3 or 4.4 mm (0.170 - 0.173") nipples flats which are larger than DT, Wheelsmith or any of the older Japanese nipples.
