Need Suggestions for a portable workbench
 

Does anyone have a suggestion for what I can use for a portable workbench that will stow in a Honda Element/Van? I want to mount a vise on it then use the vise to hold a Park TS-2 Truing stand. I thought about a Black and Decker Workmate, but I'm not sure it's steady enough.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

A workmate is plenty steady enough. I used a workmate to mount my router table on for Pinewood Derby this year for our Cubscout pack. It was very solid. Truing a wheel does not take a lot of strenght or force, so it should do fine.

hey thanks. The vise would do double duty, it just seemed to make more sense if you were limited in space to use the vise for the truing stand too, instead of mounting two tools. Which workmate did you use?
