can't seperate the left cup of a cartridge bottom bracket

I have a cheap ex-Giant bottom bracket I want to use in another mountainbike.

It's the infamouse Chinhaur CH52 as seen here:

In my case I have it in my spare parts box with the loose cup on the body. So all I have to do is pull the cup again en place the BB in my bike..

but.. I can't seperate the left cup anymore! I can turn it around but it won't come off.

More brute force or do i oversee something?

There *shouldn't* be anything holding the loose cup to the cartridge. Maybe it got stuck with dried up and plasticized old grease? If that's the case, it shouldn't be spinning, unless it's fused to the seal on that end and that's what is spinning. I'd say whack it with a hammer and chisel/big screwdriver and see if it pops off. Drip some solvent to dissolve the grease that may be there first and it might just fall off. It's already broken and unusable - it's not like you can break it worse.

got it loose!

what was the magic behind the able-to-turn-but-stuck-like-hell?

well.. the cup was corroded to body but only the first cm which is actually a bearing on its own seperate of the body.

WD40 and brute force did the trick.
