Trying to track down 73x127.5mm BB

Hi All,

Typical of a newbie - first post and already looking for help!

Wonder if anyone can assist? I'm looking for a 73x127.5mm Shimano BB (square tapered, English threaded) for my old faithful mountain bike. I've tried direct from Shimano, and phoned a load of local bike shops locally (Stevenage, Herts) and sadly it's a size that's been retired for years.

Without replacing the entire groupset, any suggestions?

Thanks in advance, and
Regards,

JohnA.

Here is one choice from Bike Tools Etc.:

I don't know anything about "RPM" but it is the right size and it's only $25.

Loose Screws has Shimano UN54 bb's in 127.5 spindle length but, unfortunately they are only for 68 mm bb shells.

Good find. The Nashbar square-taper bottom brackets are made by RPM. They have worked fine for me. Looks like a good deal for $25.

Thanks HillRider - I'll drop them an email and ask if they'll post one to the UK.

I've seen a few 68mm shell 127.5 axles, but the 73mm version is like rocking horse doo-doo, so your link is most appreciated.

Kind regards,
JohnA.
