Avid juicy 7 bleeding.... partial bleed from the lever only ?

Hi

I watched the vid or you tube and I will be getting a kit ot do the bleed

I also read a review on pink bike that said once they've been bled once you should only have to bleed from the lever

http://www.pinkbike.com/news/article2806.html

scroll down to the bleed instructions where it says
"Once the system is bled, you shouldn’t have to bleed the caliper or the line ever again. If you start feeling sponginess in the levers, simply bleed the lever (i.e. from step 13)."

is this accurate ?

or should a full bleed be done ?

anyone ?

can you really just bleed from the lever or is a full bled the way to go?

I would recommend a full bleed, not just the lever. You will be set for a long time. This will remove all the air from the line and caliper as well. Mine came from the factory "soft" with air in the lines and have been great since I initially bled them.

Read the directions and watch the videos carefully and maybe take notes if you need. There is a good youtube video on the Avid channel.

I've never been satisfied with the feel of my Juicy's unless I do a full bleed on them.
