Looking for BB/Crank Information
 

I'm pretty new to bike mechanics and am hoping someone can point me to someplace that I can learn more about bottom brackets and cranks. I just picked up a new bike with Shimano EX400 Exage 170mm crankarms and (I believe) 144mm chainring, both of which I would like to change. Trying to figure out what my options are and such.

Hello Dan. EX400 Exage? is this a double or triple crankset? a 144 bcd (bolt circle diameter) is older Campagnolo size. yours is likely 130 for a double and 110 for a triple, but I forget the small ring on the triple) are the teeth counts 42/52?

in what way do you wish to change them? smaller? there is a wide variety of fings to choose from it just depends what you want to do and you mechanical abilities.
