Want to switch hybrid handlebars to drop bars
 

I have a hybrid bike with the straight handlebars, and i have been wanting to put on drop bars, does anybody know how hard this would be? And also, does anybody know how i would go about switching the shifter/brakes system over? the brake and shifters are built into a single piece, and i dont know how i would get both the shifters and brake levers accessible to my hands without twisting them around. would i have to get a new shifter and braking system, or is there some way to mount them? any help is appreciated

This has come up in the past. The general consensus is that so many parts need to be replaced and the cost is so high you might as well get another bike.

Indeed it has. Do a search including "flat bar" and "drop" or something like that and you should find plenty of stuff. Failing that, simply read the posts back in history a few weeks.
The simplest fix to get the basic aerodynamic edge is to get yourself a set of drop bar ends.

thank you, that is perfect for me. After researching what it would take to completely convert to drop handlebars, this by far the best way to go.

+1 If you want a road bike get a road bike. Changing out the handlebar would probably double your investment in the hybrid. Keep the hybrid as a back-up and go buy a good fitting road bike if you want a drop handlebar.
