Hussefelt cranks: aaaggghhh!!!!
Hi
Im a newbie whos desperate for some help with removing a set of hussefelt cranks from my sx trail.
Id always heard that cranks on the truvativ howitzer bb were prone to coming loose, and it does seem that this is the case for some people; but not me.
After two years heavy use they've finally started to creak and groan so i thought now was a good a time as any to remove them and fit an ethirteen ive had lying about for ages. Problem is i cant get them off. They dont have self extracting bolts just normal 8mm hex bolts, so ive taken these off and attempted to use my cotterless crank extractors (have 2 different ones - same result) but all they seeem to do is screw inside the hollow axle and dont actually force the crank off. So, is there a recommended tool that someones used before that will work before i go buy another one that wont?
Cheers for any help/advice you's can provide.
