Silca parts
 

I have like my floor Silca pumps for somtime now. However, when i moved to 6900 ft. they do not pump that great. I believe they just don't gather enough air. Anyway, glad i had one of the pro Silca pumps at least it has a longer bore.

But the problem is this and I have not taken it apart yet.

In the middle of pumping a tire the handle shot up under pressure as if somthing broke inside. I have verified it does not pump right now so i need parts. I have not taken it apart yet but i know no one here sells them.

Where to look. They are rebuildable so where to look for parts?

There is a hex head under the pressure gage. Take that loose and you will find a rubber tipped, spring loaded check valve. It might be stuck in place or corroded and just need cleaning and lubing.

The altitude has nothing to do with the pumps performance. I'm at 6,000' and mine works just fine.

Also take the main plunger out and lube the leather washer with vaseline. A new leather washer might be a good idea.
