Squeaky Capa TL RST Fork
I've got an 2002 Giant Boulder mountain bike that I use as my daily commuter. A few days ago, the front fork started to squeak quite noticably (loud enough to cause pedestrians to stare as I go by) whenever something would cause the shock to compress. The fork is a Capa TL RST.
I am assuming that after nearly eight years of hard riding that something is no longer sufficiently lubricated.
I did a search and saw one thread about somebody regreasing the springs, but no reference as to how to take the shock apart to do this, or what kind of grease should be used. Or is this not even how I should address the issue?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
