Everything i say is referring to front deraillure...

Shift to 1st...Loosen the bolt that holds the cable and pull tight and tighten bolt...Now any stretching of the cable has been solved...Next youre gonna have to play with the 2 screws on the deraillure...If its easy all you'll have to do is screw the "High" screw in and the deraillure will move...Being indexed everything has to be perfect to mesh..The Low screw can keep it from shifting up as well so you may have to loosen it. Hope that helps.

You just saved me about 20$ to take it into the store and have that fixed...
But question.. i sorta did the same thing for the rear.....
and it works i goes from 1-5 no problem but at 6 the chain now gets slack and wont go into 6th or 7th
but at least now i can ride again.

Tighten all the adjustments for the rear deraillure. Loosen the cable at the deraillure. It should go all the way to the small cog. Now, pull the cable and tighten. Shift as far up as you can go. Either tighten or loosen those screws until you notice it moving farther up. Rear deraillures are tricky if there indexed. Play with it long enough and you'll figure out how it works.
