Silca Super Pista Problem
I posted this problem earlier today, but somehow it disappeared. Does anyone have a problem with their silca not letting go of a presta valve after you've inflated a tire? I've actually pulled stems off because it's on there so tight. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the tube valves are defective.
I put a drop on oil in my pump heads.
Had three valves from different brand tubes come off this year.
28 flats ytd.

Just this yearI ripped out a couple of stems and couldn't get seem to always get a good seal. Since I'd had the pump for about 5 years I replaced the rubber donut. The pump functions like it's brand new now. Don't ask me why it was so hard to get off the stems before. You'd think it would've been be more loose.

Thanks, I'll try silicone and if that doesn't work I'll replace the gasket again.

I put the stemnut inside of the rim. It keeps me from pulling the stem off the tube. You must be carefull and make sure the nut is not pushing the tube under the rim. Since I have been doing this I have not ripped off the stem.
My Silca pump head is hard to remove with a new gasket installed.

hello
I believe the brass chuck was originally designed for threadless valve stems. It's a joy to use it on smooth stems.
