Egg beaters

I put on some egg beaters on a bike a few months ago, but today when I wanted to take them off I realized the nut was round and my brake wrench is for the normal shape. How did I get them on? How do I get them off?

have you tried an allen wrench on the inside of the crank? I don't own eggbeaters but it just seems logical

Cyclist is dead on. Eggbeaters have an allen slot on the inside of the pedal. 6mm.

Yep, there it was. Funny how I don't remember putting them on that way. I actually prefer it over the standard way.

Some of the older Eggbeaters use a wrench or allen, all of the new ones only use the allen tho.
