worn out dura ace ?

How do you know when A cassette is worn down to much? I have a dura ace that came off another bike I have and was thinking about putting it on my new to me bike. i have the derailer and the cassette and an Ultegra chain.

any suggestions ?

also its a 12-27 10 speed

It's worn down too much when it skips on the matched old chain and the new chain.
