downtube shifter boss confusion

I bought this 80s Shogun 600 frame and I can't figure out what type of DT shifter will fit on the boss.

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

Hi there are several threads over in the C&V forum on these bosses. they are a proprietory Shimano design from the early '80s. I believe they were for early, pre index, Shimano Dura Ace but I am not sure about early 600.

Looks a right pain in the bum.

I'd just mod my cable stops so the curve against the tube holds em in place, but that might be a bit radical for downtube shifter whatsits, possibly transferring too much load to the tube when you think you're in second gear and go for first only to find you're already there...

Those are for the original SIS indexed downtube shifters from about 1985.
