Removing black paint from a seatpost?
I have this seastpost:
https://www.chariandconyc.com/nobrand...ostsilver.aspx
Is there anyway I can remove the black paint? As you can see, it appears like the seatpost is a silver-colored metal (alluminum?) but the slits and the top were painted black? I'd like to made it all silver.
Are there any techniques that can do this?

It is probably not "paint", it is most likely anodized.
Regardless, Easy Off oven cleaner with lye.
Spray it, "cook it for about 3 or 4 minutes, then rinse off with water.
If there is still colour there, spray it again, then rinse.
Then work it with a buffing wheel, it will come off pretty easily at that point.
Goes, or should, without saying, that you should wear gloves and a mouth/nose mask when working with lye.
Shouldn't take more than about 15 minutes.

Could be paint too, as it was on the seatpost of my 85 Vitus Carbone bike.
I took the paint off the flutes on it with plain ole spray-on paint stripper. Although it did turn out to be anodizing on the top half of the seat rail clamps which laughed off the paint stripper like it was water.
I took the paint off mine too because the all silver look seems to be better for the bike.
