The cost for a *box* section rim that is inferior to an alternative rim (Alex DA22 et al.) that is 1/3 the cost of it means it sucks. Box section rims went the way of the dodo in terms of strength. It has nothing going for it other than it being bandied about on the forums as being a "good" rim.

The Zerolite Vuelta 700c rims with Flip flop hub comes with a 16t fixed gear cog. at $80 currently they are a steal!!!! I bought the pair for $120 shipping inc. 9 months ago for my fixed gear/single speed. With a $21 16t singlespeed cog addition I couldn't be happier with my original investment. The only downsides are the stickers leave an almost unnoticeable residue that will stay on forever unless you use googone. And the rims are not clincher...personally I like this because they are nice rims. Upsides, they are very pleasant looking rims. As true today as the day I bought them even though they suffer a ton of abuse. I ride every day Snow or shine. The nipples on the outside edge of the rim have suffered zero rust, while my chain needs a good wire brushing every week during the winter. haha. These are GREAT rims and CHEAP. They ship quick too. Vuelta rims are available in 10spd and the alike.
