Bought a New Bike Mechanic

Well, not really. I was in the LBS a few weeks ago talking to one of the mechanics that works on my bike most of the time. I commented that he was a pretty good mechanic and he commented that he wished he could find a real job.

I just happen to have one of those, so I hired him this morning, to start Monday. Full benefits, significant more money if I what I read in a previous thread is accurate.

If he proves to be able to put together highly engineer mechanical products using detailed instructions and prints, then I have myself a bike mechanic.

Call me if you have any openings in Dallas. Nice job by the way, hope this works out well for both of you.

Is one of the 'perks' of his new job that he gets to continue to work on your bike?

He did have this in his post:

In all seriousness, since there are 3 management levels between me and him I have to be very careful about that sort of thing. Of couse, if I ask a question and he thinks it is easier to just show me...
