Creak coming from headset/fork area - maybe brifter cables?

Hi all, I hang out mostly in the Road forum, but my bike has developed a creak overnight....

I own a Scattante XRL Comp with a Cane Creek integrated headset. I have Easton alu bars and a Vision alu stem. The carbon fork has an alu steerer.

I left the thing upside down overnight without the wheels on it (truing them) and when I picked it back up to stick in my stand I noticed a creak whenever I turned the handlebars. I put the wheels on....still has a creak.... loosened my stem and bars, greased in between, put it all back together with a torque wrench....stilllllllllll has a creak.

Any ideas?

Thanks--

nevermind that either.... I think it's coming from the housing/housing end as it sits in the barrel adjuster oi.......... I just want to get rid of this stupid creak.

Well I think I took care of it... a couple of drops of teflon lube seems to have made the squeak go away - yeah!
