Peugeot CLB Brake Hood Fiasco

I'm having a lot of trouble finding replacement brake hoods for an old Peugeot racing bike with 'CLB OMEGA R' levers. My local bike shop told me it'd be impossible to get a match, and I haven't found anything on eBay or the web. Does anyone know of anywhere to get these brake hoods, or some kind of universally fitting replacement?

If I can't manage to get hold of a pair of suitable brake hoods I think I might have to buy a replacement set of levers. I'm not looking for anything fancy, but would like this set to have hoods I could replace when they eventually wear out. Any suggestions? Thanks

Here's some photos: https://i609.photobucket.com/albums/t...m/P3130090.jpg - hoods

I agree. While not a perfect match - Dia Compe brake-hoods are a generic that will fit many, many older brake-levers.

Ebay has them from time to time. You just have be very patient. You might be searching for 6 months or more. Everything makes it to the bay sometime. Good luck
