LOOK 566 with a sticky FD
I just noticed the same fd on my LOOK 566 and my Lemond Buenos Aires is sticking or more difficult to shift on the Look . The cable is binding where it goes through the bottom bracket. Anyone ever have this problem?

Is the cable routed through the frame after wrapping around the bottom bracket on the 566? That's a common treatment for carbon frames and I've seen it cause binding issues on the cable. If I have correctly assumed, I would suggest squirting a little chain lube on the hole where the cable exits the frame then work the derailler a few times to distribute the lube. This fixed the binding (and squeaking) cable issue on two friends' frames.

Yes it goes thru the frame. I blew it out and put a drop of lube in but it still is not as good as the metal bike. You can feel the drag still when the fd is disconnected too.

And it likely never will be as smooth given that the metal frame doesn't contact as much of the derailler cable as your carbon fiber frame does. I'd suggest more than "a drop" of lube on the hole though. It shouldn't feel that noticeably rough or resistant to sliding.

Is there a guide that goes in there or just a hole through the bottom bracket?

My KG386 frame and my friends' Felt F2C and Specialized Tarmac frames all have just a hole. You could attempt to make some sort of guide by using the center tube material from some derailler housing. Not sure if it would work well or not.

My thoughts are the cable moving back and forth in the carbon hole. I've taken back windows out of cars using this same technology.
