Front Derailleur Adjustment?

Okay so after searching this forum I found some tips on some adjustments to make to the derailleurs however I did not find my answer...

All my shifts are fast and work properly for the gears 1-7...however, for the cogs associated with my front derailleur (so the ones that control the 1-3 shifting on my left grip) dont seem to shift properly, that is, I cannot get into my 3rd gear set. What do I have to adjust to fix this?

Thanks

http://sheldonbrown.com/derailer-adjustment.html - I found his articles on derailleurs and adjustments to be hugely helpful.

Also here is a video for visual effect for those things that are hard to understand without seeing them.

The front gears are called chainrings or chainwheels.
You either have too much cable tension to shift to the small ring or you need to adjust the inner limit screw.

Also read these 2 articles (and the related ones) from Park Tool. You may want to understand both systems before jumping to a screw because someone told you so. They may be right, but if something goes wrong or the adjustment is more complicated, you know what to do then.

Thanks all. Yeah when I searched this topic I came across the above links to parktool and the derailleur adjustments. Just didnt get through all the links I guess.

Thanks for the help!
