Crank really close to front derailleur
I have 105 components and the front derailleur cage is really close to the crank arm. I would guesstimate about 1-2mm. The derailleurs shifts fine, but Im just worried about it being so close to a pedaling crank. The crank clears the cage and any slight adjustment and they would rub. Is this normal?

This is one of those places where a miss is as good as a mile.
The gap from crank arm to chainring is pretty tight on good equipment because more space means pushing the pedal outboard more than necessary. They carefully left just enough room for a well adjusted FD, and as long as things are set up correctly that's all you'll need.
