Headset/fork compatibility
 

Are all 1 1/8" threadless headsets compatible with all 1 1/8" threadless forks? Specifically with regards to the crown race. I'm currently looking to build up a new BMX bike, but I'm not sure what parts will be compatible with what. I know there are a number of different headtube standards, but what about for forks?

They SHOULD be all the same.

Do you have any specific components in mind?

Basically the frame will tell you the type of 1 1/8 headset u need to buy. There is a lot more details but the frame is the starting point.
