1980ish Fuji Royale Seatpost Size?

I recently finally removed the frozen seatpost from my 1980 or so Fuji Foyale road bike. I need a new one but I have cut and bent the old one up so bad removing it I can't get a reliable measurment or comparison. The lbs picked a new one out for me but it is too small and I hate how the gentleman talks down to me. Anyone know what size seatpost I need? I thought it was a 25.3 mm one but I was informed they don't make seatposts that size. And the one the lbs gave me says 25 4x350 mm. Anyone know what size I need?

bobfm99, Steel seatposts of that era, at least for my '81 Raleigh and a friend's '82 Nishiki are 24 mm. Is that what the LBS gave you?

Hello,
I have a 1979 Fuji Royale (bike's not handy at the moment to measure) and my seatpost size is 27.2mm if my memory serves. I'll re-post once I get home to put digital calipers on it... PG

My 1979 Fuji Royale has a seatpost that is 26.0mm. Just measured it with my digital calipers. Hope that this helps you. Phil G.
