removing a mangled dust cap?
1 Attachment(s)
Sigh. it nevers ends.
I have to get this dust cap off to get at the BB. (not my bike originally. I didn't do it.) and it looks like a mess I am soaking them hoping I can get a flatheaded screw driver in there (I seem to see a slot) but does anyone else have another suggestion? these cranks are disposable. |

There is a tool called an "Easy out" that is designed for this.
Harbor freight has them. Tap it into the hole and unscrew. Works every time. Enjoy |
for get it. got it.
trivial really. sorry to waste space here. Liquid wrench plus slightly offsized allen key. but I would still love help on that darn jammed adjustable race. |
i'd get a dremmel and cut a little more of a slot, then use something like a quarter and a pair of vice grips to turn it, you want to make sure you use something as wide as possible and try to turn it out. Otherwise you're going to have a hell of a time removing the crank bolt/arm
