Handlebar replacement help
Hello everyone, I was told from another section of the forums that you guys could help me much better here.
I want to replace the handlebars on my Skeppshult. Also the neck is black so maybe that as well. Can the neck be replaced with a chrome neck? And does anyone have any good European online bike shops that carry unique items like special handlebars along the line of a tourist or mustache style they can suggest?
I also need to learn how to measure handlebar and neck width correctly so that I buy the correct items for my bike?

Measuring is dead easy, use a vernier caliper.(skjutmått in Swedish) but odds are that you have a 25.4 mm diameter at the clamp area. And it's not neck, it's stem.
As a source my first thought goes to https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/category-...-Other-862.htm, but undoubtedly there are others.
It would be easier to say something sensible about the stem if you posted a pic of the bike. My guess would be that it has a quill stem, but it's not certain. You'd also have to figure out the diameter of the quill part.

I will take a picture and post it in the morning, it's getting late here so it will not show up so well.

I have this topic going in two different parts of the forum, because I was told that you guys could help me a bit more. I feel weird posting in both though.
Anyway...
Here is a picture of the handlebar stem on my bike, as I said I would post it today. I will also post measurements later today when I figure it out correctly.
As you can see they are more of a mountain bike style. I would like something with a curve to it like a dove or mustache style.

That certainly looks like a bone-stock quill stem. Pop the plastic plug off and there'll be a screw lurking underneath. Unscrew a few turns, tap it down and the stem should lift straight out. You might have to pull it up a bit to get the true cylindrical part that goes into the steere tube for an accurate measurement.
