How do you wrap multiple colored bar tape?

How do you wrap multiple colored bar tape?
I've tried googling it and couldn't find it I was wondering how people wrap different colored tape on tops then the tape on the drops. Can anyone let me know or point me in the right direction at least?

While folks can get pretty pedantic on the subject, there's no one "correct" way to wrap tape.
Either wrap top down finishing with a plug for a very clean finished look, or wrap (as i do) bottom to top and finish with a tape strip so the shingling is in the right direction and the edges are less likely to curl.
I've seen showpiece spiral and "woven" tape jobs done with two rolls at once.

It's not that hard to do a barber-pole pattern with two colours alternating. I use a single colour below the brake levers, then I begin the second colour as I come around the lever housing with the first colour. It takes some careful cutting and fitting of the start of the second colour to get it firmly snugged down underneath the first colour at the lever without any corners sticking out. Then I work with the two rolls at once winding them onto the bars together. Finishing at the top/middle takes some planning since you have two ends that have to be taped down together and you don't want a huge number of windings of the finishing tape to spoil the barber-pole effect. I don't try to do the whole bar with the two colours because I found it too difficult to bring the two rolls of tape around the levers together without gaps or wrinkling, but I suppose if you were patient you could manage it with some practice. I use modern cork ribbon tape. It might be easier with old cloth tape?
