Tire Issues
Hello fellow riders I have an issue with my tire and thought you could help me.
Every time I get a flat and replace my innertube my tire sits lower in the rim in one section. It looks like the tire is sucked in deeper in one section of the tire. Last time this happened the guy at the bike shop said I can rub soap along the tire to pop this section out. But I don't quite know how to do this. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated so I can save my self a trip to the shop. Thanks, Matt |

Thanks for the links.
I put some dish soap on both sides of the tire wall and did my best to overinflate it and it still will not pop in place. |
Bend the tire away from the "depressed" bead area with about 1/2 the pressure in the tire.

After lots of soapy water, pumping the heck out of the tube and 30 minutes of fiddling with it it seems like it is pretty much now where it is supposed to be.
Should I expect this issue every time I put in a new tube? Thanks for all the help. |
It gets easier to a point, but then the tire "fits" and it doesn't get any looser. I hope that sounds like logic. I have tubes on tube less MAVIC rims. Try that one, fortunately they're 26 x 2.5+. Tire levers are nearly useless for me.
