what shifters can i use with Shimano Deore XT 8 SIS

Hi there I was wondering what brand/type of shifters I can use with Shimano 8 SIS? I know certain brands dont work with shimano. Its an old Deore XT derailer im using it with.

Im currently looking at the Shimano Nexus-Revoshifter SL-8S20 16$ which I assume has different "spacing" than 8SIS (I'de like a twist shifter but this wont work)
and the Alivio SL-M410 8-sp 20$

Any Shimano or Shimano-compatible 8-speed MTB shifters will work fine. The classic 7-speed XT (and DX?) thumbshifters work too - they have an extra click at the end of their travel.

SRAM makes shimano 2:1 twist grip shifters.
