STI rear/friction front -- Brake lever suggestions
I'm considering finally getting upgrading to STI shifting for the rear of my touring bike. I would like to continue using a barcon for my front shifting across a triple crankset. Can anyone suggest a brake lever that would have a similar shape to an STI lever? I'm guessing Tektro/Cane Creek would be the closest.

Use the matching STI lever but with no shift cable.

If you only buy the right brifter, Tektro's R200 levers are a near match for Campy's current Ergo brifters and are very comfortable. They won't match STI hoods but feel good anyway and unless you are overly concerned about appearance, are a good way to go. |
I wonder which is more cost effective, buying a matching set or buying a right STI and a Tektro R200.
