Help with tire/tube size harder to find sizes
Hello I will start off by saying that I don't know much about this subject.
I need new tires/tubes for my bike 700x25c to be specific.
After a bit of research I've found it's quite hard to come across tires
and near impossible for tubes (presta's) especially.
My question is, is there any size I can substitute for 700x25c ? or would it be to large/small.
thanks for any info.

700 X 28 or 700 X 23 should be fine.
Or you can order online if your local bike stores
don't carry your exact size.

Are you serious? Where do you live that your local bike shop does not carry 700c tires.
In any case there is always mail order.

700c 25mm tires are widely available. You can easily substitute 23mm tires. Be careful with 28mm tires if you have a road bike with short reach brakes, they may not fit. The same tubes used for 23mm tires will work with 25mm tires.

I know it's hard to believe, but I'm in the same situation as
the original poster. I live next to New York city in a well
populated county(Hudson County,NJ). The 2 local bike stores
carry carbon fiber road bikes that cost a couple of grand, but none
of them stock 700 X 25 tires or tubes.

Sandusky has 77,000 people. Not too small in my book!

checked wal mart,meijers,and dunams.
nothing.
hell they were even sold out of 24x 1 1/4 tubes.
I might try A&B.
I'm actually from huron it's just easier to say Sandusky because most people would know that area first.
thanks for the info

Props for biketiresdirect.com. I get a lot of my tires and tubes from them, and they carry LOTS of different sizes/styles of tires.
