Campagnolo cassette on shimano drivetrain?
Basically is it possible? Got a campagnolo wheel (scirocco) and doesn't look like I can change the free hub to a shimano spline so need to come up with a solution to make it work with my ultegra setup :)

j-tek shiftmate.

That wheel was not a bargain if you have use a Campy cassette and a shiftmate to correct the RD travel. Campy 10 cog spacing is 4.15 and Shimano is 3.95mm. Even is you adjust the RD to be perfectly centered in the middle of the cassette, the RD will be off location by about 20% at each end. The shiftmate corrects that.

There is a Campagnolo made driver for their hubs, to use Shimano Cassettes,
It's about $100. whether it will fit your particular, disc?, wheel hub, is a separate question to take up with the Retail Seller. try Branford, Cambria, Etc., maybe the Pro level mailorder shops in Colorado, can answer that intra Campag compatability question. Here : NB it's for 9, not for the latest 10, soon to be passe' for .. 11 http://www.cambriabike.com/shopexd.a...+Free+Hub+Body |
I assumed that Shimano user would have a cassette to use already, so switching brands might not be cost effective.
You really need to know the model year of the wheels. Then you can easily look at Campy spare parts PDFs to see if a Shimano cassette body is available. |
