rear wheel problem

I'm a bike novice.

Bought a new wheel for my road bike as my old one was knackered. attached it to the frame today. the old wheel had a quick release lever but i just attached this one with the bolts it came with. after riding it for 10 mins or so the wheel shifted and started rubbing on the frame.

i did the bolts up pretty damn tight. do they need to be tighter? have i attached it to the frame in the wrong way?

Grease the axle and lube the washer/nut interface. If it's not a proper torque issue, there's a variety of things the wheel to shift.

if that washer is separate or is attached and rotates freely, and also has serrations where it meets the frame you should be ok. If the washer is an integral part of the nut then I would add a serrated washer.

**Actually that dropout looks like it might be less than smooth. If badly damaged it may not hold well.

You can see from the picture itself that it is the standard 'track nut' with integrated washer. It is serrated on the inside.
