SRAM road shifters compatible with any mountain f-derailleurs?

I'm building up a new touring bike with a 10-speed setup using SRAM Rival shifters, an Apex RD, and a crankset with 38T-24T. The trouble I'm having is figuring out which front derailleur will work with this setup.

I can't get an APex FD low enough without the tail of the cage bumping into the chainstay. I also tried an XX FD, but I'm pretty sure the XX isn't compatible with the SRAM road shifters because it seems to need more cable pull than the Rival shifter can provide.

Does SRAM have a mountain FD that's compatible with their road shifter line? Is there another solution?
