SRAM Apex compatibility with Shimano 105

I'm interested in the SRAM WiFLi system. Can I replace my current Shimano 105 cassette and rear der. (2009 vintage) with the SRAM equivalents? It "seems" like this should work, other than needing to lengthen the chain to accommodate the larger cogs.

Thanks!

use a shimano MTB RD and use the sram apex cassette, as the sram RD is not compatible with 105 shifters.
