noise comes everytime i i pedal

theres a noise coming from left pedal every time its parallel to the ground. whats the deal? Plus i unbolted the nut inside and tried to take off the crank. is there a secret way to take it off? its the 4 sided square type.

First check that your bottom bracket is in good condition. It sounds like it's a square taper, and to thoroughly check it it's best to remove the cranks. Get a crank puller, they are built specifically for this purpose.
