Im about to purchase and install a hayes mx2 disc brake on the rear wheel of my norco wolverine, any special tools or tips you could tell me before i do it, or is it worth the extra 60 bucks to buy it from the lbs and have them install it

If you're buying them new they come with instructions.

I never thought it was worth paying for a shop to install anything personally. I always did it myself, i dont think installing brakes is the hardest task, i dunno i just find LBS prices rather high for whats being done, my votes try it yourself and have a set of hex keys on hand.

I got a wolverine too, and I moved the mx2's to the rear, and put new mx1's on the front, it was really easy, I did it all myself, the instructions were easy to follow (B4 my wolverine, I had never done anything mechanical myself) Upgrading to to discs on the rear was so worth it. GOOD LUCK
