loose cap on top of brake lever how to tighten??
The cap on the top of my 105 (1999) brake lever is loose. It vibrates like hell when I'm on any kind of bumpy road. The cap says "flight deck 105" on it. I can't figure out how it is attached. I tried to pry it off but didn't try too hard for fear of breaking something. Any help out there for me???

My cap (circa 99 ultegra flight deck - about the same as yours) just rattled around for years. It is not uncommon. I talked with someone last week who had the same annoyance. You can put some grease under it to get it to "stick" and not slap around as much and that will quiet it down for a little while.
Mine had come loose countless times and would spin around on some sort of press fitting, and I would have to snap it back down on the top end. The thing recently literally flew off while riding on a particularily bumpy stretch. I don't miss it. As far as I can tell, its function is mainly aesthetic. My STI levers still work fine.

It's a dust cap and yeah, you can carefully simply pry it off with a flathead screwdrive. You can just use some silicone glue to glue it down then.
