Shimano 7901 Chain Compatibility

I just purchased a Shimano 7901 to run on my Ultegra (6700) equipped bike. I did this because I've read that there have been some problems with the 6700 series chains and wanted to avoid that. I assumed that the Dura Ace and Ultegra 10 speed parts would be interchangable, but I read an on-line brochure from Shimano that indicated that the 7900/7901 chain is not compatible with 6700. How can this be?

The Shimano 10 speed chain widths are all the same at 5.9mm. Sram 10 speed chains are 5.95mm and Campy 10 chains are 5.9mm.

The 7900 chain is compatible with all 10 speed shimano. It's just lighter than the ultegera. The chain profiling is the same, you get the same performance.
