Crankset, BB dimensions?

Hey, I'm in the process of building a bike around a titus motolite frame and need a little help. Right now I want to install the BB and the crankset but I don't know what to buy. I measured the BB shell length the best I could and it's ~72 or 73mm.

I wanted to use the BB and crankset from my old bike but the shell length is slightly shorter than the shell on the titus. Does this mean I can't use it on my titus?

Also can I just throw the crankset from my old bike on the titus or does geometry dictate what size crankset I can use?

Thanks a lot for any help, I'm really lost with this.

Now MTB use 73 BB shells , and Road use 68 wide , except Italian road bikes they are 2mm wider. 70..

probably .... not... as is, buy a MTB type BBfor your crank , maybe
but details offered are scarce so I don't know.

no idea what a 'titus motolite' is .. so maybe talking to the dealer of same will help.

I would suggest you contack Jenson USA and ask their advice.

it appear you need a MTB BB. however I am unsure wether you need a 73 or standard english 68 width. also the lenght of the spindle depends on the crank you are going to use.

is this the bike? http://www.jensonusa.com/store/brand/533-Titus.aspx
